The Lotus-designed, Magnuson-produced, supercharger uses a smaller Eaton rotor and is machined as an integral part of the intake manifold. The size and weight savings more than make up for the few horsepower lost due to the lack of an intercooler. The new design produces 217 hp, which doesn't sound like much until you consider that the Elise only weighs 1987 pounds!
