The Kinetic sculptures circle the plaza two or three times, then head for the beach to complete the first of the three days challenge of pavement, sand, mud, and water. 42 miles later, the survivors will cross the finish line in Ferndale.

Some incredible crashes occurred at the forbidden Cirque during the competition Friday.

The mens top 3 North American Freeskiing Championships winners Tim Dutton #1, Julien Lopez #2, and John Lange #3 skiing the forbidden Cirque Friday 20 March 2009. Their wins on the following day was under near blizzard conditions and poor visibility for great filming. This is the video of their runs that propelled them to the final competition.
