Bill Reesman's "MiG Magic" was one of the most popular airshow acts in the mid to late '90s. The MiG-15 was re-designed to be supersonic by extending the fuselage four feet, adding an afterburner, and sweeping the wings back ten more degrees to forty-five degrees. The result was the MiG-17 capable of Mach 1.2 or 714 mph. The MiG-17 was also a much more stable aircraft and capable of tighter turning in air-to-air combat. Bill had a lot of respect for the MiG-17 when he flew the F-100 for 320 missions in Vietnam.
Dan Buchanan is flying his hanglider at nightshows with loads of pyrotechnics and fireworks. The amount of pyro going off at once is remarkable. It's not unheard of for 911 operators to get calls about UFOs or aircraft on fire.
