Patty Wagstaff tears up the sky in her Cirrus Extra 300.
The 2009 Reno National Championship Air Races and Air Show marked the 46 years of air racing. The week of qualifying and racing saw ideal weather conditions with temperatures in the 80's and light breezes. Competition was tight in the Unlimited class and saw new speed records nearly every flight. The air racing action culminated in the Unlimited Gold Race being won by Steve Hinton Jr. flying the P-51 #7 Strega with a top speed of 491.822 mph.

Tim Weber performed some wild aerobatics the Geico Extra 300.
The line up of airshow performers was really well balanced with civilian aerobatic performers, military aircraft fly bys, and two jet teams. The Blue Angels and the Patriots Jet Team at the 2009 San Francisco Fleet Week was a huge crowd draw. The Fleet Week tradition honors the men and women of the armed forces since it's inception in 1981.

The super-wide panorama lens is mounted on the glare shield above the instrument panel. This position, in combination with the super wide lens, has a view of the control stick. Seeing the control inputs really "punches up" the total effect.
