Always an airshow favorite, the Blue Angels "Fat Albert" Demo at the California Capital Airshow 2008 was pretty wild on Sunday. The crosswinds were wreaking havoc on all airshow performers, including the "Fat Albert" Demo. You can see the steep approach angle that is normal, but watch the nose of the C-130 point about thirty degrees off centerline as the crew corrects for the crosswind drift.

Major Paul "Max" Moga and the F-22 Raptor. This is a frame grabbed from the F-22 video. Major Moga did the entire narration for the video in one take and no pauses. His flight demonstration in the F-22 was a huge hit at the California Capital Airshow 2007. The vectored thrust can really alter the whole way you think about normal maneuvering.
This is what airshows are all about, families enjoying great entertainment. The number of spectators at airshows exceeds Nascar and is only second to baseball.
On Sunday at the California Capital Airshow 2007, I decided to grab the still camera for the F-15 demo. This photo was taken during the four-point roll and demonstrates the precision of the manuever- a perfect 90 degree angle.
