From cameras mounted on aerobatic planes, this video will induce extreme motion sickness for some viewers. Pilots include Wayne Handley, Sean D. Tucker, Jimmy Franklin, Matt Chapman, and Patty Wagstaff. Camera angles are from the cockpit, wing, and tail. Those prone to motion sickness please use a puke bucket, not the bowl of popcorn or beer mug. Now, enjoy the ride!
Flight Video Magazine has mounted cameras on everything from hangliders to jets. G Force is an extreme aerobatics video with a focus on onboard video cameras. This short and fast paced production, with a fine balance of shots from the ground and the onboard video cameras, puts you right in the pilot's seat. The use of small video cameras called mini-cams, micro-cams, or helmet-cams can be mounted anywhere on the aerobatic planes. A really great example of Hollywood movies about aerobatics is "Cloud Dancers" with David Carradine and Jennifer O'Neil.

This is the typical cockpit camera mount that I use in the production work. The aircraft is Rob Harrison's Zlin-50 LX aerobatic plane. With a super panorama lens, the view includes everything from his hand on the control stick to a nice wide view to the rear. This is great for capturing the aircraft's smoke system as it snakes wildly through the sky behind the plane, and needless to say, the wild action in the cockpit!
