From full out air racing to mid-air and landing mishaps, this video presents a look at Giant Scale Radio Control Air Racing. These planes are BIG and can weigh up to thirty pounds and have a wing span over eight feet. The cost to built these monsters can range from five to fifteen thousand dollars!
Just some fun and laughs at a recent event. It seems that you can make just about anything fly with a bit of imagination. Also seen; a flying stop sign and magic carpet. Radio control clubs often open airshows and provide good entertainment for kids-big or small. Narrator is Gordon Bowman-Jones
I couldn't resist having fun with the wreckage piled on the ground. It kind of reminded me of the Roswell crash. What the heck was this and what's the story on the bodies? Ya, looks like Jack and family had a bad day!
Shooting Radio Control aircraft is a tremendous challenge. The speeds approach 200 mph and maneuverability is "off the scale". Being only 50 feet from the aircraft as it flys by at 100-200 mph is a rush.
