California Air National Guard F-16 Slow Pass
The Travis Air Force Base Air Expo 2008 was host to a great line-up of military and civilian performers. Military acts included the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, A-10 Warthog, F-18 Hornet, U.S. Army Golden Knights, C-17 Globemaster III, and formation flybys of the C-5 Galaxy, KC-10 Extender, and the C-17 Globemaster III. The F-86, B-25s, BT-13, T-28s, FG-1 Goodyear manufactured Corsair, and P-51 warbirds performed flybys. Civilian performers included Kent and Warren Pietsch, Dan Buchanan, Paul Lopez, Smoke-N-Thunder AFRES Jet Car, Eddie Andreini, Tim Decker, and Melissa Andrzejewski. Saturday was historic in that the last airworthy C-133 "Cargomaster" flew from Alaska to Travis AFB. The C-133 will become part of the extensive aircraft displays at the Travis Air Museum. The C-133 served at Travis from 1958 to 1971 and even transported USAF ballistic missiles and rocket boosters for NASA's space programs.
