The U.S. Naval Air Station Moffett Field was host to some of the greatest airshows on the west coast. An Adventure In Flight was shot at the 1989 airshow and still is one of the best airshow videos ever shot. Moffett always got top billing and the location was dead center in California's silicon valley, resulting in huge spectator turnouts. The performers for the 1989 show included the P-3C Orion, Brigette de St. Phalle, the F-14 Tomcat, Tom Jones flying the Coors Silver Bullet BD-5J micro-jet, the F-18 Hornet, the Ray Ban Golds aerobatic team flying 4 Pitts, Eddie Andreini and the Super Stearman, Joann Osterud in the Nitrous Oxide injected "Hyper Bipe", and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. The San Francisco 49ers quarter back, Joe Montana, took a ride with the Blue Angels at the Moffett Field Airshow. Don't miss Joe's reaction to the ride of his life.
