The 1988 Moffett International Airshow was an action packed event that drew a record amount of airshow fans over the three days of perfect California weather.

In this two hour video, there are special feature segments that include the history of Moffett Field, the F-14 Tomcat's introduction to the Navy with air to air combat training, and the history of anti-submarine warfare. Performers in order of appearance: P-3 Orion demo, Bridgitte De Saint Phalle, F-14, NASA U-2, NASA QSRA(Quiet Short-Haul Research Aircraft), F-18, Team America, NASA AV-8 Harrier(YAC-8C), the Royal Albanian Team (comedy at it's best), the Air National Guard rescue demo using the HH-3 and C-130, Eddie Andreini's Super Stearman, the Brazilian Air Force Esquadrilha Da Fumaca, and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. At the closing, there is a 1983 to 1987 "look back" segment with shots of Patty Wagstaff, Bob Hoover, the NASA XV-15 Tilt Rotor(V-22 Osprey development), the Blue Angels A-4 Skyhawks, The Italian Air Force's Frecce Tricolori, and the Blue Angels F-18 Hornets.
