This Heritage Flight took place at the Naval Air Station Lemoore airshow in 1990
Heritage Flights were initiated by the U.S. Air Force to honor the pilots and aircraft that have defended the United States of America in conflicts. At airshows throughout North America, the Air Force and Heritage pilots fly formations that evoke the memories of our veterans. Each year the pilots of current fighters and the heritage aircraft are selected for the Heritage Flight team and practice flying formation with all the various aircraft involved. In the spring, the new pilots are selected and the new airshow season's schedule is formed.
